The 9th album of Zavoloka is released today!
“Istyna” which translates to “truth” or “verity” in Ukrainian, explores further the concepts of inner liberation and freedom. The album takes an integral approach to Ukrainian folk traditions in a more complex and harmonious sound, minimalist melodies, and rich polyphonies to voice the raw emotions. It is the trip from meditative introspection to moments of intense sonic expression and polyrhythmic aggressiveness.
This album is Zavoloka’s most personal statement—the deep-rooted connection to the homeland through emotive soundsteppes, the resistance of light. “Istyna” expresses the quiet truth that lies in the heart.
The album is available as:
LP – 180gr three-color swirl vinyl record
CD – inlaid in a hand-assembled cardboard double sleeve
Digital – our Bandcamp and streaming everywhere
